International orders: tax and customs in your country

Good news: the price you see is already lower for you. Because we ship from Serbia, we don’t charge you Serbian VAT (20%).

You pay for the product and shipping now, online (by card). When the parcel arrives in your country, that country charges its own import tax — this is the only extra cost, and you pay it only when your parcel is delivered (sometimes also a small postal handling fee for paperwork). You don’t pay for the product or shipping again.

How much extra you pay depends on your country and the value of the parcel. Just enter the price and your country to see an estimate.

Please note: this is an estimate, not an exact bill. The calculator estimates only your country’s import tax (VAT) on (product + shipping). Possible customs duties and handling fees aren’t included, since they depend on the country and the shipment. If customs duty applies, tax is usually calculated on the value including that duty, so the real amount can be a little higher. In some non-EU countries (e.g. Switzerland) small parcels arrive without tax, but in the EU tax is usually charged regardless of value. The final amount is set by customs and the postal service in your country. Tax rates can change over time, so it’s always best to check the rules for your own country.

What about customs duty?

Besides tax, some countries also charge customs duty. For small parcels this is often small or zero, but it depends on the country and the value of the parcel.

EU: currently, parcels whose goods value doesn’t exceed €150 have no customs duty (this threshold is based on the value of the goods, excluding shipping). The EU plans to remove this exemption and may add a small per-parcel fee — the exact date and amount aren’t final yet. For higher-value parcels, duty depends on the product.
Other countries: customs duty and value thresholds vary from country to country.

Like tax, customs duty is paid to the post or courier when you receive the parcel. The exact amount is set by customs in your country.
